This year, South Jersey resident Michelle Bunting, President & Co-Owner of Horizon Pediatric Systems, Inc. and President & Co-Owner Camden Shipping Corporation, is one of three leaders chosen for the distinguished 2007 AWIB Entrepreneurial Leadership award. Horizon Pediatric Systems, based in Bordentown, designs and implements pediatric healthcare programs and owns and operates the largest pediatric medical day facility in the State of New Jersey . The mission is to offer comprehensive health care delivery systems that meet the complex and broad based needs of medically fragile children from urban communities. |
Bunting also co-formed Camden Shipping Corporation (CSC) to fill a void in the American marine industry by expanding opportunities for women and minorities to meaningfully participate in the marine trades. CSC is the first all woman owned, all minority owned company in the history of the United States, to own its own dredge and demonstrate capacity to perform marine construction services.
Bunting is only one of 2 women in the United States certified as a Cutter Suction dredge operator. Bunting also serves on the Board of National Association of Women Business Owners, South Jersey Chapter and the New Jersey Commission on Early Childhood Education. Additionally, she’s a member of several national organizations including the Women Presidents’ Organization, the Healthcare Businesswoman’s Association, U.S. Women’s Chamber of Commerce, the National Association of Child Care Professionals (NACCP).

Christa Davies has been appointed EVP, Global Finance at Aon Corporation and will be named CFO in March,08. She was formerly CFO of the Platform and Services Division at Microsoft, the largest and most profitable division with annual revenue of $28.6 billion and operating income of $14.8 billion. Previously, Davies was Director of Business Development and Strategic Sales with ninemsn, an Australian joint venture with Microsoft. She earlier held positions with Cable & Wireless in London and McKinsey in Sydney, Tokyo and Seoul. |

McLean-VA -- Laura L. Hollingsworth, general manager of The Des Moines Register, will become president and publisher of the newspaper on Sept. 7. She has been general manager of the Register since 2005, running the day to day operations as second in command to former publisher, Mary Stier who is starting a company to develop multimedia products for boomer women. Hollingsworth has worked for Gannett Co, which owns the Register for 18 years. |

Auburn Hills, MI -- Jan A. Bertsch has been appointed to lead Chrysler’s ITM organization as VP and CIO. She previously held the position of CIO for Chrysler Group and Mercedes-Benz in North America. Bertsch joined DaimlerChrysler in 2001 as Vice President of Finance for Chrysler Group's Global Sales and Marketing organization. She spent 22 years with Ford Motor Company and Visteon Corporation, where she held numerous positions, including Assistant Treasurer of Ford Motor Company and Treasurer of Visteon Corporation. As one of the few women in the auto industry to head up a global information technology organization, Bertsch is responsible for directing Chrysler's worldwide systems and computer hardware strategy, systems applications development, data center operations and telecommunications network operations. She reports to Ron Kolka, Chrysler's Chief Financial Officer. Bertsch was named to the 2005 Automotive News list of the "100 Leading Women in the North American Auto Industry." She holds a number of board positions with non-profit organizations, including Wayne State University School of Medicine, the Chrysler Women's Forum, among others.
